The First time I heard of Fryso

I have met Sybren in 2001 at a Friesian horse course at the KFPS centre where he was teaching the anatomy and riding abilities of the Friesian Horse. There it was the first time that I heard of the Fryso saddle and that it was specially created for the more baroque horse with a wide back and nearly no wither like other breeds.

Nice adventure to create a saddle to your own liking

Because I was in the middle of purchasing 3 Friesians at that stage it was clearly that I wanted to have 2 saddles fitted to my new girls. Since then I have upgraded my Friesian herd to 40 horses and have purchased over the years about 10 saddles all fit to the shape of the stallions and mares and have chosen for different layouts like red piping or white piping along the rims and different quality of leather for seat area, this makes it also a nice adventure to create you own saddle to your own liking.

I am very happy with the shape of the saddle the quality of the leather and the semi deep seat it provides to the rider. Also the service of Tweespan and Fryso saddles is friendly and adequate, Elzelien will always respond to my emails directly and helps me out where needed.
